Rope Play is a large subcategory of bondage. Two common tying styles are Shibari and Kinbaku, both of which are types of Japanese bondage meaning “to tie” or “tight binding” respectively. Shibari is more decorative than Kinbaku, focusing on the beauty of the tie, while Kinbaku focuses on the functionality of it. Riggers are the people who perform the ties and their bottoms are commonly known as rope bottoms, or rope bunnies.
